The substances vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin D (cholecalciferol) were discovered during extreme and unnatural circumstances, about a century ago. Poverty and malnutrition led to all kinds of deficiency diseases. These circumstances, and the success of the first discovered vitamin (B1), had unleashed a vitamin quest. Vitamin A and vitamin D, however, are false findings.
The extreme malnutrition of more than a century ago could particularly affect growing children. Such malnutrition was also created by researchers in the experimental animals they used. This could happen because they applied the limited insights of that time about basic nutrition. But they were also simply looking for more “efficiency”, so that less feed or feed of lower quality was needed. The discovered “vitamins” provided that opportunity.
In cases of severe malnutrition, vitamin A and vitamin D had dramatic short-term healing effects. Under these exceptional circumstances, the substances found appeared to function as effective medicines. But the cause of the malaise was and remained the lack of the right nutrients, from foods that are widely available in the present day. Without these defects, no deficiency diseases will result and medications are not appropriate. Yet precisely these two false vitamins are now systematically added to our diet. And this is happening to an increasing extent, inescapably and unsolicited.
The substances vitamin A and vitamin D are not essential nutrients for us. They are substances in regulatory systems, which the body itself produces and uses to control important processes. Of great importance is the genetic expression of our hereditary material, to which both substances are firmly linked. Long-term or excessive intake of these substances disrupts these systems and can lead to all kinds of problems over a longer or shorter period of time. The disruption of that genetic expression can logically explain this adverse effect.
These substances, retinol and cholecalciferol, but also their analogues, occur naturally in our diet. In those natural quantities they do not pose a problem, because they are safely removed from the body via the liver. However, disposing of it takes a relatively long time, which makes prolonged or excessive intake a problem. Vitamin A can continue to accumulate for years and lead to chronic toxicity. The answer to these chronic problems is - ironically - often sought in taking the steroid vitamin D, which also accumulates. The suppressive effect of this steroid on immune responses can then quickly provide symptomatic relief and be perceived as positive.
Let it sink in: during the course of the last century, just when the problem of food shortages was about to end, two highly toxic substances, which can be classified as drugs, were systematically introduced into our daily food worldwide by conscious addition, while it was known how acutely poisonous these were. Supervision of the intakes and a special council that would determine the permissible doses were necessary. The practical intakes have subsequently increased over time.
On the welcome page I promised a simple method to keep our biological system healthy for a longer period of time. After reading the previous pages, that method is not difficult to guess: it helps if we do not poison ourselves and stay away from those false vitamins. All that beautifully colored fruit and beautiful vegetables contain enough carotene to keep our vitamin A metabolism functioning properly. To ensure that vitamin D metabolism works with certainty, all we need to do is enjoy the sun for a while.
Are there actually people who have improved their health by avoiding these bogus vitamins? Absolutely! There are thousands of them. In the early 2000s, in his quest to find the cause of autoimmune diseases, Trevor Marshall saw the vitamin D mistake. Through his scientific publications, his tireless travels to countless conferences worldwide, his non-profit organization, and the Internet, his message reached a large number of people.
Meanwhile, and completely independently of Marshall, another engineer in Canada discovered that vitamin A must have been a big mistake. In 2014, Grant Genereux decided to completely eliminate vitamin A from his diet and shared his decision with the world through a blog. In his 10-year-update, Grant writes that at least 10,000 people have followed his example. In 2023, the groups of Trevor Marshall and Grant Genereux found each other. The number of people who are turning away from all those “fortified products” and fake vitamins is growing.
With this website I have tried to guide you in the question of what to believe. Using historical documents, I have shown you where in history things could have gone wrong. And how scientific research has increasingly brought to light the mechanisms that can explain the effects. This is now largely clear, even down to the molecular level. But be sure to do your own research! I am offering you what I have found and am open to exchanging ideas about it. The power of marketing and media is great, but so is that of common sense, substantiated with logic and science.
You will find that it is very difficult to completely avoid those fake vitamins, simply because they end up in so many of our foods. It is found as synthetic additives in follow-on milk, meal replacements, shakes, breakfast drinks and even in youth drinks. It is added to margarines, spreads, oils and fats. But indirectly it also ends up in butter, cheese and eggs. It gets there via animal fat from animals fed in the stable. And then of course in all products that are made with those margarines and eggs.

Would farmers continue to participate if they understood what is really happening? And the consumer in the store? Would they still want eggs if they were becoming increasingly risky for women who wanted to have children? What about all those nutritionists? The well-intentioned doctors? Wouldn't their clients and patients very much want to be properly and truthfully educated about the effects of “supplementation”? Wouldn't we rather focus on prevention instead of endless treatment of symptoms?
